COLLECTOR’S CORNER

STANLEY PANENKA has become, quite possibly, the most renowned Beatles record collector in the world. In fact, he proudly calls himself “Stan THE Beatleman” and happens to publish his own Beatles Record Price Guide. In conversation, Stan will add Beatles references to topics not even remotely related to music; as far as a fan goes... let’s just say the surviving Beatles should thank Stan for his lifelong service.

So why has Panenka announced that his entire Beatles collection is now up for sale?

Recently, Goldmine spoke to Panenka about his legendary Fab collection and why, after 30-plus years of curating and collecting, it’s suddenly time to let go of it all.

There are only six confirmed copies that exist! Yes, I know that there are some label variations that exist where there are approximately the same be remotely close at all to the promotional “Anna” single which is the Queen of all American Beatles 45s! Buy her at any price! However, it is nice to own a rare Beatles record even if it is a very rare label variation.
