Amidst all the kerfuffle surrounding the 50th anniversary of that Pink Floyd album (and just two years to go before we do it all again for Wish You Were Here), it’s refreshing to know that not everybody has fallen beneath its spell.

There is, for example, a first-time reissue for the late Richard Wright’s Wet Dream (Parlophone, shown above), an album released to almost zero fanfare in 1978, but which has deservedly grown in stature in the years since then. Blue marbled vinyl and a double-sided poster will doubtless thrill the vinyl collectors, but for anyone wanting to go the whole hog, there’s a 2023 remix by Steven Wilson that has already gathered a plethora of raves … which isn’t always the case, so many similar jobs has he undertaken in recent years, but which in this instance is utterly deserved.
