THE COLEMAN BUCKLEY INTERVIEW

HEY COLEMAN.

First up, can you give us an overview of Coleman Buckley, how you got into engineering amazing kit, and where you’re based right now?

Hello! I’m 32 years old and am based out of Santa Cruz, California. I was planning on becoming an orthopedic surgeon after college but in the summer before med school got really into making water sports gear and that eventually led to the creation of the Ride Engine brand. I was lucky enough to have access to hydrodynamic wizards like Stan Pleskünas and Tony Logosz (lead designer at Slingshot) and they really helped me understand what I was trying to build.

Tell us when and where the very first concept of Ride Engine emerged?
