Driven boar in Sweden
I am sitting in a tree stand on the edge of a field overlooking a large patch of reeds which surround a frozen lake. To the right of me is a birch forest. To the left and in front of me all I can hear are the sounds of dogs and their handlers driving game towards me. It’s my first driven hunt in Sweden and needless to say I am excited. However, the build-up of excitement started 24 hours earlier when Jann, a hunting brother living in Sweden and the organiser of the driven hunt, described the ‘cinema shooting range’ we would be shooting at before the driven hunt.
The day before the hunt, Jann and I went to the airport to pick up four other mates who would be hunting with us. Three of the hunters were flying in from the United Kingdom and one from Germany. As we piled into Jann’s car there was a buzz of chatter about what
