List to savour on Eastern Cape safari

This all started when my son Lance and I attended the Safari Club International Convention in Las Vegas in February 2017 as a part of my bucket list, and I was not disappointed. It took four days to view the incredible display of taxidermy, world outfitters and the finest of firearm manufacturers. Famous names like Westley Richards, Holland & Holland, Rigby, Purdey, Mauser, Boss and Churchill were in abundance.

As it was our intention to find an economical African safari, we were fortunate to meet Greg Harvey, of Huntershill Safaris in Eastern Cape, South Africa. Greg offered a choice from 62 trophy animals, licence fees, full accommodation with daily laundry plus the services of a 4WD safari wagon with qualified Personal Hunter (PH) and two tracker/skinners plus free pick-up and return to the airport (a two-hour drive each way) with no additional daily rate. This was in our price range and we each swiftly signed up for a $US9000 10-day, 10-species safari in August 2017.
