AS the media chatter began to increase over the Queensland border reopening dates, we once again began to plan our next Fallow hunt. 2020 had been a difficult year to say the least. Missing my first opportunity to hunt the Fallow rut had devastated me. I had been consumed with fallow deer for several years now and having this trip pulled out from under my feet after 18 months of planning had taken its toll. If this was the biggest interruption that Covid had caused to my year, I was definitely one of the fortunate few, considering so many people had lost their jobs, businesses and more.
