THE ’87 HOT DOG SHOW
ver been to a hot dog show before? I imagine it would be awesome. The photograph you’re looking at was from the , just before the Wanganui Hot Dog Show, which was held in June of 1987 — a distant 32 years ago. If you look carefully at the bottom right-hand corner of the sign, you might be able to make out the words ‘Sign by Tony Johnson’. So, on the face it, there was a hot dog show in Wanganui in 1987. Wrong. There wasn’t. And also, on the face of it, it would appear that I did the signwriting on the sign. Wrong again. I didn’t. Confused?
