NAD C 338
The NAD C 338 signals the emergence of a new breed of hi-fi component. Amplifiers have been evolving in recent years, first gaining digital inputs (and therefore internal digital-to-analogue converters), and from there it was a short hop to include Bluetooth. Now comes network connectivity, and thereby access to internet music services — the kind of stuff we’re used to seeing in wireless multiroom speakers. But why settle for a small wireless smart speaker if you can have a whole smart hi-fi system? That’s what’s on offer from the C 338.
Indeed higher models in this range can be fully network-enabled with an optional ‘BluOS’ module which makes them part of the Bluesound multiroom ecosystem.
