In a recent Butchery Blitz conducted by the Tshwane Meat Forum in Gauteng, a meat product labelled as ‘game boerewors’ was noted in a meat processing plant and reported to the Tshwane Health Department as well as the Department of Health – as the custodians of the Foodstuffs, Cosmetics and Disinfectant Act no 54 of 1972 (FCDA).
