classic, , Percy Fitzpatrick, who was a young transport rider, wrote of an old American hunter/prospector who briefly appeared in his life, but who left a lasting impression on him because of his strength of character and high principles. I have often wondered about this enigmatic man. Fitzpatrick called him “Rocky Mountain Jack” saying that few people seemed to know his surname and he was simply known as Rocky, the name being a reference to his upbringing in the Rocky Mountains in America.
