T e lady had wou unded the leopard, which had holed up in a pa of long gra g s, roughly 30 yards wide. A leopard c y hiding in long grass is invisible, so if you walk in to locate him, you can be sure his charge will come from mere feet away, and there is every chance he’ll be on you before you can get off a shot. For this reason I fired a couple of shots into the grass in the hope this would move him out, but he stayed put – we knew not where.
