Merriment at Monateng

The Monateng lodge and caravan park north of Pretoria is located right next to the Dinokeng Game Reserve. What’s more, it’s only half an hour’s drive from the city, which means you’re there, camp pitched, in the blink of an eye, ready for your weekend getaway. And with everything to do and see here, you’re definitely not going to struggle with a bunch of bored kids hanging around your stand all day.

The grass-covered play area is only just smaller than a rugby field and is next to the luxury stands. A large supertube towers above you – when the camp isn’t busy, usually out of season, the supertube is closed, but the resort people will open it if you can gather 15 or more kids who want to slide down.
