Last issue we looked at how different performance fuels can have different effects on our engines. However they’re not going to make any difference at all when they’re just sat in petrol drums – we need to get them into our engine! But we can’t just pour it in – the exact amount needs to be delivered at precisely the correct time, which is why the entire fuel system needs to be taken into careful consideration. The basics of a fuel system are simple enough to understand, but when it comes to upgrading that system (which if you start increasing the power levels is something you’ll need to do), things can start to get surprisingly complex.
