THE MK2: POINTING IN THE SAME DIRECTION
Having sorted out the brakes, fitted a new steering rack and repaired the damage caused to the nearside rear suspension after clouting a curb, it was finally time to get all four wheels on our Mk2 California pointing in the same direction.

Getting a four-wheel alignment check on the Mk2 MX-5 was high on our agenda, partly because the front tyres were worn unevenly and partly because the car just never really felt 100% planted on the road. Some of that unsettled feeling was probably down to the tyres, which were pushing ten years old. Fitting a new set of boots all round was a no-brainer, but it also made perfect sense to get everything adjusted properly before splashing the requisite cash. So we made another visit to Brian Chandler at BC Cars Motorsport in Haverhill, Cambridgeshire.
