I REMEMBER WHEN ALL THIS WAS FIELDS

ONE OF THE BEST THINGS about being middle aged [Don’t you mean ‘about the onlyis that you can remember all the cool garages that were around when you were a car-mad kid. You can remember sunny (or otherwise) days cycling up there, running the gauntlet of the owners whilst rooting through the scrap part exchanges out back and nabbing brochures for whatever was deemed interesting at the time. The downside of having these memories is that you feel the terrible pang of sadness as they are closed one by one, bulldozed and replaced by appalling new-build cardboard starter homes.
