    Snow Owl was born Juan Garcia-Herreros in Bogota, Colombia, in 1977. When he was nine, the family emigrated to NYC, after being involved in bringing drug lord Pablo Escobar to justice. After another move to Florida, the fateful moment came when Juan picked up the bass, after which a mixture of intense practise and sheer talent quickly brought him a scholarship at Berklee College of Music, Boston.
