    Frankie Poullain first burst onto the scene as bassist for The Darkness when they became the first truly iconic rock band of the current millennium in the UK thanks to their phenomenal album. The Scottish musician briefly parted ways with the group a few months before the release of the follow up, , in 2005. The following year, the band was put on pause to allow vocalist Justin Hawkins to enter rehab, and for a while it, seemed like that was the end of it.
