‘I’ve always been overweight; I remember going on my first diet when I was just eight years old. My battle with weight was a constant cycle of shedding kilos, only to gain them back – and then some,’ recalls the Durban-based attorney and legal firm owner. By 2006, Charmaine weighed in at 147kg, with a body mass index of 46.
