Packages vary among carriers and you can choose to purchase SIM card and service (data and call) credits separately or together as a package. For example, you can buy a SIM card for 50 baht (USD1.60) and 3GB data valid for three months for 427 Baht (USD13.50). For 599 baht (USD18.80), one can get 15 days of unlimited Internet connection, call credit with 30 days validity and calls back home that starts at one bhat per minute.

Purchase

Tourist SIM packages are available at airports. However, as a premium is charged if you do, it is better to buy it directly from mobile stores. With stricter regulations for SIM card purchases, you have to produce your passport and have your picture taken to register and activate your Thailand SIM card.
