I grew up on a 13-acre property overlooking the Southern Ocean, in Anglesea, Victoria. I started surfing when I was 10 and later I would ride my motorbike down to the beach. I spent as much time as I could over or under the water, surfing or fishing.
Bells Beach was only about two kilometres down the road. I also started my carpentry apprenticeship with my dad back in Anglesea and I’ve been in the building trade nearly 35 years.
