he second Honolulu Biennial, “To Make Wrong/Right/Now,” took its title from the last line of a poem written by Kānaka Maoli artist ʻImaikalani Kalāhele. The title poignantly emphasizes the need to reconcile the legacies of uninvited interventions across the Pacific, providing an astute and locally relevant cohesive thread that ran through the ten sites of the Biennial. Kalāhele was one of the 47 exhibiting artists—a thirdi, with the rest from across the Pacific Islands, Asia and the Americas.
