A BOAT WITH TWIN HULLS A CATAMARAN

Up until a few years ago catamarans were principally sailing boats either small sporty models or those devised for charter parties. It is a known fact that the cat world made up of two hulls were locked into these two categories which were often enough ill considered by ‘real’ sailing buffs for whom the expression sailing boat was synonym for a mono hull. In the world of motor yachts, with the exception of a mere handful of cases at the most in seas beyond the Mediterranean catamarans were not even heard of. And for a superyacht to be a cat was sheer blasphemy!
