YOUR BUILDS IN DETAIL

FD ATTACK

This isn’t the first time that a bare shell has been dropped off at the Hi-Power Performance workshop with the simple request to make it a complete running car. However, this time around, it’s not the usual assortment of Nissan-badged steel; owner Frost Song is looking to tackle the Open Class of the NZ Superlap series in what is to become a 13B-powered widebody Time Attack FD RX-7.

The shell itself needed to be stripped down to the bare basics, and Ethan at Hi-Power has shoehorned an M&M Racing–built 13B into the engine bay. Frost bought a brand-new short block from Mazda before direct shipping it to M&M, where it was stripped down for some work and an extended port before being reassembled and sent to be mated with the chassis.
