A CULINARY JOURNEY

Beginning his career in 1990 in Cape Town at the three-star Tulbagh Protea Hotel, David Higgs has grown into one of South Africa’s most awarded and internationally acclaimed chefs. He previously worked at the Central One Restaurant at Radisson Blu Gautrain and The Saxon Hotel, before becoming a founding partner of Marble and Saint Restaurants. Moreover, he also started his own cooking school in Cape Town, The Higgs School of Good Cooking, in 2000 and he is currently a judge on the hit local reality show My Kitchen Rules SA on M-Net.

With an almost 20-year career in cooking and cuisine, David has transformed his passion about local cooking into his debut book Mile 8: A book about cooking.
