KETO vs PALEO What Does the Science Say?

There will always be some type of low carb diet that gets the wellness community excited and most of these diets focus on decreasing the intake of sugar and carbohydrates. Today, the two most popular low carb diets are the ketogenic diet and the paleo, or caveman diet. So does it matter which one you choose? Here are some comments from the scientific community that may help you decide which one (if either) is best for you.

Ketogenic Diet

A study published in  examined the effects of a 24-week ketogenic diet. Researchers conducted the study on obese participants. The diet consisted of 30g carbohydrate, 1 g/kg body weight protein, 20% saturated fat, and 80% polyunsaturated and monounsaturated fat. Here are the results:
