GETTING EXCITED ABOUT MAKING HISTORY

Let’s start as we mean to go on; the defending champions have lost only three games under coach Scott Robertson in his two years at the franchise. They will be hot favourites to triumph again and therefore win the championship three times in a row.

They are the only franchise to have done this before – 1998-2000 - when Robertson was playing at loose forward for the red and blacks.

They are laden with All Blacks and have the ability to play pretty much any way they like; a set piece-oriented game, or a wide game based on continuity.

They have game breakers across the park and play with an enthusiasm that all Robertson-coached teams generally play
