Finding the Inner Belief

The Crusaders have suffered a major loss of experience and leadership since last year and there is no point in pretending they won’t feel the impact of that.

Captain Sam Whitelock is on sabbatical in Japan while Kieran Read, Ryan Crotty and Matt Todd – who have all captained the Crusaders in the recent past have left.

So too have Jordan Taufua and Owen Franks, which means that the Crusaders are minus not only leadership, but a group of world class forwards who have given the pack much of their bite in recent seasons.
