I’VE JUST watched the first England versus Wales pre-World Cup game.

Thank you England. For, at least one week, putting an end to the nonsensical idea that Wales would be the number one team in the world (ahead of the All Blacks).

But a week later when Wales won the second test and the All Blacks beat the Wallabies 36-0 on the same weekend, the order changed. Wales did indeed oust the All Blacks as World Rugby’s number
