THIS MONTH I had planned to dedicate all these reviews to some of my favourites from the recently launched Apple Arcade, a subscription game service that offers 100+ titles without any ads or in-app purchases. But as it would happen, on the day of its launch, Mario Kart Tour, Nintendo’s latest and most high-profile mobile effort since Super Mario Run, hit the app stores. Unfortunately for me, it was a perfect demonstration as to why Apple Arcade exists in the first place.
