“Kevin Gadd of Kevin Gadd Architects was briefed by me to design a luxury beach home that is of generous proportions and which allows guests to enjoy a luxury beach holiday in a spacious home with uninterrupted views of the ocean from every single room. It was built by a well-known local Gansbaai building contractor. These professionals add value as they both have vested interests in the Romansbaai Beach & Fynbos Estate. The home is brand new with final completion issued in October 2017. The garden and lawn is well-established and the entire property is absolutely immaculate,” he explains.

This north facing, summer wind-protected home was built over three levels using natural stone and untreated hardwood so that it, quite literally, melts into the iconic Walkerbay Fynbos landscape. Meticulously landscaped by Sean Privett, who not only planted 40 indigenous milkwood trees but also created a rooftop garden over the ground floor, it is as much part of the landscape as the ‘Marine Big 5’, (the Southern Right Whales, seals, penguins, dolphins and Great White Sharks) for which the coast is known.
