ELYSIUM CAN WAIT

There’s something intriguing, magical and even inspiring when it comes to the revival or re-birth of old boats that have done their time at sea. Whether it be a simple dory, trailer boat, sailboat or power cruiser, the satisfaction of bringing the boat back to life probably outweighs the excitement of a brand-new boat’s maiden voyage.

Unfortunately, there can be downsides to boat rebuilds or re-fits, just like house reno’s, where budgets often blow out by double or more. The big questions with a boat rebuild are: do you, don’t you, and if so, how far are you prepared to go before your wife realises that you’ve blown the life savings on your beloved antique?
