NOTHING makes him happier than holding a rugby ball in his hands and dreaming of running full tilt down the field, dodging his opponents as he streaks towards the tryline.
“Playing rugby feels incredible,” Sifiso Tshabalala says. “When I side-step five guys and the crowd is cheering me on, I feel very good. Then I’m the step-king.”
But Sifiso’s rugby career hangs in the balance now.
The 19-year-old was in the wrong place at the wrong time on 1 February last year: crossing the walkway at Hoërskool Driehoek in Vanderbijlpark, Gauteng, when all hell broke loose.
