STARTER

1 BILTONG SPREAD WITH HEART-SHAPED CRACKERS
SERVES 2 PREPARATION: 20 MIN COOKING: 5-7 MIN
CRACKERS
4 slices white or brown bread
30ml (2T) olive oil
2,5ml (½t) sea salt
SPREAD
1 tub (240g) cream cheese
60ml (¼c) biltong powder
30ml (2T) chopped chives
handful of parsley, finely chopped
finely grated zest of 1 lemon
TO SERVE
biltong slices
fresh herbs
lemon wedges
Preheat the oven to 200°C. Grease a baking sheet with nonstick spray.
1 Crackers Remove the crusts from the bread. Using a rolling pin, roll each slice as thinly as possible. Cut into crackers using a heart-shaped cookie cutter and transfer to the prepared baking sheet.
