You don’t have to be thin to be CHIC

I am a size 12. Which does not, believe it or not, make me an odd one out in the front row at catwalk shows. Quite the opposite. Sure, some of my fellow frow-ers are thinner – a lot thinner – than me. (There’s that other Anna, for starters.) But there are also many women who are the same size as me, or bigger. Not that you notice their size. Because they dress well, and if you dress well – in a way that flatters your body – that’s what people register.

Being fashionable, stylish and chic is absolutely not about being a size 10 or below. Which is just one of the things that makes it nonsensical that the catwalks are still hung up on
