OUR READERS SAY…

75th Anniversary Issue

Editor, CQ:

A comment on your January issue … WOW! The articles from the past issues were absolutely fantastic. The reminiscent articles in QST are pale compared to yours. I especially enjoyed the article on propagation during 1955-1959. I missed out on that as I didn’t become interested until late 1963 and licensed in 1964. Keep up the great job on the magazine. I enjoy each and every issue!

Thanks very much for the 75-year anniversary issue of CQ — a masterful work. You brought back a lot of memories: Separates, Heathkits, RTTY, crystal-controlled transmitters, all valuable learning experiences. Have a great New Year.

For those of us with the Kenwood TS-2000 HF/V/U transceiver, it’s a keeper, even though an oldie! Some use it just for HF, some for cross-band multimode satellite contacts, and many didn’t realize this classic rig has a built in TNC for digital modes
