RIG TOUR
: “My was front and centre with the – which is like my go-to magical amp – in there too. Our producer Michael ‘Elvis’ Baskette told me early on, ‘You have to bring in that Cornford every time!’ I think there might have been aalong with my signature, maybe a little bit of too. Martin Kidd [who worked with Cornford before Victory] is a ridiculously talented amp designer. You can make his amps sound good wherever you sit, even at home at bedroom levels. You can blindly move the knobs around and it will still sound great. I’m really proud of my signature amp though, it’s the one I play at home. I’ve had John Connolly from Sevendust and our manager Tim over – they’ll all plug into the VHTs, Bogners, Boogies and Friedmans, all those high-gain rockin’ amps. Then I will plug them into my signature and they’re always like, ‘Dude, this is the one!’ It’s a very sick amp. As for pedals, the pink is my favourite octave. Other than that, I’m still using my signature wah, which is probably my favourite pedal of all time. I might use a here and there. Of course, delay is on everything… my effects loop has a in there. I’ve probably gone through 10 different delay pedals over the years – every time I heard something was good I would try to check it out. The G-Lab was the last one I bought and I haven’t looked at anything else since, because it does exactly what I need.”
