Concrete Genie is every inch a PlayStation title. Developer PixelOpus’s second game, it captured the heart of PlayStation boss Shawn Layden from its very first pitch. “We have to have this game,” Layden told his team after he played it in a very early pitch meeting. “PlayStation has to have it.”

It’s easy to see why Sony was sooozes nostalgia. The game casts you as a bullied outcast kid, Ash, who escapes from the trauma of his dead-end town via art. In a weird turn of events, his art starts to come to life… and starts to help him confront his bullies.
