Game and public health

The game hygiene regulations were introduced throughout Europe in 2004 and came into force in the UK in January 2006. Later that year, the Trained Hunter (TH) qualification was introduced to ensure that anyone who was placing game into the food chain was suitably knowledgeable to avert risk to the public health.
