A question of balance

I’ve always stressed that the protection of farm crops is the primary reason that we shoot woodpigeons – whether it’s while they’re causing damage or when they return to their home wood to roost, or even while they’re feeding on stubble. We need to control their numbers. We will never kill them all, nor do we want to.
