Keeper’s diary

I always start to get excited about the upcoming season when I see my chicks develop. My friend Crockett is rearing my pheasants this year and he’s doing a great job. They’re a few weeks old now and growing well. It’ll be another five weeks until they’re placed in the pens in the woods and I’m pretty much there with preparations.

I have decided to have 500 ex-layers again and they will be released a few weeks earlier than the reared birds.
