    Over her 14-year solo career, Tarja Turunen has explored metal, progressive and classical directions. With her latest solo album, In The Raw, the operatic singer has managed to strike a beautiful harmony between all of these styles. And lyrically, it’s her most intimate work yet. “I think all artists tend to keep at least part of ourselves in shadows when it comes to writing lyrics or when it comes to our personal lives in general,” Turunen muses. On In The Raw, she has broken these boundaries.
