Jennifer Rothery, the talented musician behind Sylf, will initially be referred to as the “daughter of Marillion’s Steve Rothery”. Which, for an initial introduction and reference point, isn’t too unreasonable. But based on the content of Sylf’s debut EP,, there’s a likelihood that, someday, her father may be described in interviews as “father of Jennifer”. Such has been the impact of her live performances that Sylf were named Best Unsigned Act in the most recent readers’ poll.
