rey Edward Shults has only made three feature films so far, but they have all made their mark. A master of uncomfortable family melodrama, he’s part of an ultra-cool clique of young directors, alongside Robert Eggers and Ari Aster, though in real life he’s decidedly more chipper than his filmography would have us believe. His latest, , is a turbulent exploration of adolescent love and loss, brimming with infectious energy.
