200 HMM HITS ISSUE

OUR FIRST 100 ISSUES FELT LIKE QUITE A milestone, yet here we are having covered another 100 in what feels like no time at all. It’s actually been just over nine years, and the magazine has continued to evolve during that time, with updated graphic treatments, revised features, and new inclusions. Yet at our core, we still like to tell great stories about cool cars, and it was the recognition of the satisfaction we derive from pulling those features together that sparked the idea for this celebration of our 200th issue. We’re fortunate to have had many of the same team members on our staff for much of this magazine’s existence, so polling our editors to hear about their favorite stories felt like an excellent way to reflect on our history here. The reasons behind their selections vary, including favorite cars, intriguing stories, great photo shoots, and so on. As the staff members explain their choices, some insight behind the scenes comes forth as well, shedding a little more light on what goes into bringing these magazine issues together. We’re also providing links to each of our editor’s highlighted favorites, so you can go back and check them out again. — Terry McGean
