WOMEN COLLECTIONS AUTUMN/WINTER 2017.18
Whoever thinks that fashion is just about pretty dresses on the catwalk, needs to think again. The Milan shows said much about the current times. If we could have the intellectual honesty to overcome the cultural prejudice which the sector suffers from, we would clearly see in which, tired of asking permission, women are imposing their will with authority, beginning with the clothes they choose to wear. The wardrobe is packed with garments, outfits are multilayered as if to symbolise the breadth of opportunity available and where nothing is taken for granted. The game of seduction no longer needs transparencies or bare flesh: it is the personality, not the body, that seduces. The silhouette softens for clothes that really seem to be designed for everyone. No more need to cover up with dark tones: colour takes centre stage, with red a major player. is a brazen trend, a subliminal message, a constant presence in accessories, make-up and especially clothes. Bloody, passionate, regal and even aggressive, red transcends the cooler seasons with every possible shade. There is pure red, one tinged by yellow or orange and even one veering towards brown and purple, generating bordeaux. Colour becomes material, it takes possession of the fabric and becomes solid, animating prints and patterns. This is where fashion calls on . Animals take over clothes, skins and furs warm up the winter, and insects land on garments. Botany, entomology and zoology become the new obsessions of designers. Since there are no other references, nature comes to the fore for creators to provide the answers.
