In good order…

“Go and clear up your room!” You must have been told that by your mother in your younger days. My wife still says it to me with regard to my office. A lot of people are naturally a touch on the messy side. And it’s not just boys – my eldest daughter is the messiest person I know, unless it has anything to do with horses.

The other day, one of the farmers from whom our shoot rents land suggested it might be time to, metaphorically, ‘clear up our room’. Now, this particular farmer is not known for his own love of the spick and span so when he asked us to do something about the mess it made me take a long, hard look at the shoot.
