The Kennel Club’s 90th Cocker Spaniel Championship was held on the Faccombe Estate, Hampshire, in early January by kind permission of Faccombe Estates Ltd. The 4,250-acre estate is situated in the North Wessex Downs Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

On the first morning we were welcomed to the estate by director Alastair Brooks on behalf of the Landon family, who stated how delighted they were to be hosting the championship on the estate for the first time. The estate includes 1,350 acres of woodland that is managed for timber production as well as a commercial shooting enterprise, providing pheasant and partridge shooting for family and let days.
