Safety first!

I frequently see comments on internet forums about habitation inspections being a waste of money, often linked with statements like: “You know if it’s all working or not because you use it.”

A good habitation inspection is about more than just checking if the equipment works.

Properly conducted, it should include a damp check, gas system check (including flue gas analysis on all equipment), and mains electrics test (including testing the ELCB/RCD unit), as well as a chassis inspection. A lot of stuff that owners seem not to look at
