PRINCE CHARLES, 1994

On Australia Day 1994, Prince Charles, then 45, was attending a function at Sydney’s Darling Harbour. As the prince rose to address the crowd, university student David Kang, then 23, rushed onto the podium and fired two shots.

Kang was immediately jumped upon by a horde of security agents and distinguished guests, who held the shooter until police moved in.
