Sharpness is one of the first things we check for when examining a photo, whether it’s one that you’ve taken or when pixel-peeping online. And it’s really no surprise with the advent of high resolution cameras like Nikon’s 45.7Mp D850 DSLR and Z 7 mirrorless. Any slip of focus or camera-shake can become evident in your shots.
This month I’m here to tell you that sharpness isn’t the be-all and end-all. Of course, a slight amount of camera-shake can be frustrating if you’re trying to get a perfectly pin-sharp picture. But intentionally injecting a little motion blur with the right vision can give you a dramatic boost
